Is there an admission fee besides my concert ticket?

No, your concert ticket includes the admission fee for the festival.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 8am.

How can I buy tickets?

Will all ticket options be available at the gate?

Not necessarily. Friday Bud Light VIP, Tappening VIP, Saturday Reserved Seating, and Saturday Party Pit are all of limited quantities and may be sold out by the start of the festival.

If I select Will-Call, where will my tickets be for pick up?

Will Call tickets will be in the Dubuque, Iowa Welcome Center until the start of the festival. Any tickets not picked up by 4pm on Thursday, Friday or Saturday will be taken to the Front Gate of the Festival. Please follow the signs for “Advanced Tickets.”

Does my campsite purchase include any festival tickets?

No, festival and the Tappening tickets must be purchased separately from camping.

Is the minimal processing fee avoidable?

Unfortunately, it is not. We keep these costs as low as possible. The combination packages of the Tappening and Festival/Concert are counted as 2 separate tickets.

Do you need to purchase tickets to attend the free Thursday night concert?

No, the concert admission is free. No tickets are required to attend the concert. Food, beer and drinks will be available for purchase.

Are there reserved seats Friday or Saturday night?

There is reserved seating this year on Saturday Night.

Friday Bud Light VIP will have some chairs for these ticket holders but will not be reserved and are first come first serve. You are allowed to bring chairs, however we can’t guarantee you will be able to set it up.

Do children need a ticket?

Do you have to be 21 to enter the Friday Bud Light VIP Area?

No, it is named after our VIP Sponsor – Bud Light/7G Distributing. Any age is welcome in that area with a VIP ticket.

Can you refund my tickets?

What happens if I lose or break my wristband?

Can I get a replacement? Unfortunately, no. We do replace lost or stolen wristbands.

Age Restrictions + Requirements (4)

Is there an age requirement for the Tappening?

Yes, attendees must be 21+ and I.D.’s will be checked at the gate.

Are there age restrictions for the Festival + Concerts?

No, anyone of any age may attend the Festival and Concerts.

Gates + Parking (3)

When do gates open on Friday, June 10?

Gates will open at 5pm with the Bud Light VIP opening at 6pm.

When do gates open on Saturday, June 10?

The Tappening tickets will be redeemable starting at 12pm for Tappening VIP, 1pm for Tappening General Admission. Saturday festival/concert tickets will not be redeemable until 5pm. Reserved Seating & Party Pit area will open on Saturday at 6pm.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the public parking ramp across the street from the main entrance of the Festival. There is also a large grass lot for parking adjacent to the festival grounds – weather permitting.

Items that are Allowed + Restricted (3)

What items should/can you bring?

Chairs (no guarantees you will be able to set it up and be able to see), Driver’s License or other form of identification if you are planning to drink alcohol. Bags are allowed but are subject to search by security.

What items are NOT allowed?

Knives, Guns or Weapons of any kind, pets (service animals are allowed), carry-ins, alcohol (you cannot bring your own nor leave with any purchased).

Is smoking allowed?

No we are a smoke free event.

Follow Highway 20 to Dubuque, Turn Right onto Locust Street – at the large intersection after the Julien Dubuque Bridge, Use middle lane and continue into the downtown, Turn right on 5th Street, Continue into the Port of Dubuque and the Event Site is ahead on the left.

From Highway 20 West

Follow Highway 20 through Dubuque to the Julien Dubuque Bridge intersection, Use the innermost turning lane to take a left onto Locust Street, Turn Right onto 5th Street, Continue into the Port of Dubuque and the Event Site is ahead on the left.

From Highway 61 South

From Highway 61, follow the Port of Dubuque District signs, After exiting the highway, Turn Right onto 5th Street to go into Port of Dubuque, Event Site is ahead on the left.

Patrons with Limitations (1)

Is there handicap accessible seating?

There is a designated handicap accessible seating area. The individual plus one guest will be admitted to this area. Please inquire at front gate upon arrival.

Does my campsite purchase include any festival tickets?

No, festival and the Tappening tickets must be purchased separately from camping.

When can I bring my camper?

Camping opens Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 8am. All RVs and tents must be in the campground by 4pm on Friday, June 9. There will be a registration tent at the corner of 5th and Adams Street in the Port of Dubuque. At that time, you must present your campground ticket to be scanned. You will be directed to your campsite which is clearly marked – please be respectful of your neighbors and only take up your allotted space.

When do I have to be out of the event-site campgrounds?

The campgrounds must be cleared of all campers, RVs, and tents by 4pm on Sunday, June 11. If you need to leave prior to Sunday, you may only pull out during the morning hours (7AM -12PM). Removing campers – RV or tent – from the campgrounds after a show will not be permitted for safety reasons. Please clean up your campsite and put any garbage in or next to the garbage cans provided.

What are the camping rules?

Carry-ins are allowed in the campground ONLY.

No open bonfires. Self-contained fires (fire rings) are allowed. Do not dig fire pits. All grills and campfires must be contained and attended.

Quiet time is 2 am – 7 am. All fires must be extinguished and generators turned off. Please be courteous to your neighbors and other festival attendees at all times.

America’s River Festival is not responsible for your campsite, personal belongings, injury, theft or damage. Please lock up your belongings. Security will be on site 24 hours during the festival starting Thursday, June 8 through Sunday, June 11. They are ensuring the enjoyment of all festival attendees. They are NOT responsible for watching your campsite or personal belongings.

Severe weather can sometimes occur. Please be aware of conditions and have a plan in place in the event of severe weather. America’s River Festival is held rain or shine. No refunds.

No pets allowed except service animals.

No firearms, weapons or fireworks.
No glass bottles.
No motorized golf carts, 3 or 4 wheelers, scooters, mopeds, gators, etc.

One vehicle parking pass will be issued for each RV or tent campsite. For additional vehicles, there is a public parking ramp and a grass lot parking lot – both free of charge – near the campground.

Vehicle parking in the RV Camping area is permitted as long as there is room in your allotted space and you are not in any way blocking the road or going past your marker.

Electrical hook-ups are not available on site. If you intend to use a generator, it must have a good muffler system.

Water hook-ups are not available on site.

Dumping Stations are not available on site. The nearest is at Miller Riverview Park for a small fee.

Portable restrooms will be placed throughout the campground.

Garbage cans will be placed throughout the campgrounds. Please use them and/or place your tied garbage bags next to them.
