Whether you are driving from near or far, laying your head down in one of Dubuque’s hotels, B&Bs, or campgrounds is the best way to experience the festival – and Dubuque. Below are a variety of accommodations to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!

Arriving:
Camping opens Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 8am. All RVs and tents must be in the campground by 4pm on Friday, June 9. There will be a registration tent at the corner of 5th and Adams Street in the Port of Dubuque. At that time, you must present your campground ticket to be scanned. You will be directed to your campsite which is clearly marked – please be respectful of your neighbors and only take up your allotted space.

Leaving:
The campgrounds must be cleared of all campers, RVs, and tents by 4pm on Sunday, June 11. If you need to leave prior to Sunday, you may only pull out during the morning hours (7a-12p). Removing campers – RV or tent – from the campgrounds after a show will not be permitted for safety reasons. Please clean up your campsite and put any garbage in or next to the garbage cans provided.

What are the camping rules?

Carry-ins are allowed in the campground ONLY.

No open bonfires. Self-contained fires (fire rings) are allowed. Do not dig fire pits. All grills and campfires must be contained and attended.

Quiet time is 2 am – 7 am. All fires must be extinguished and generators turned off. Please be courteous to your neighbors and other festival attendees at all times.

America’s River Festival is not responsible for your campsite, personal belongings, injury, theft or damage. Please lock up your belongings. Security will be on site 24 hours during the festival starting Thursday, June 8 through Sunday, June 11. They are ensuring the enjoyment of all festival attendees. They are NOT responsible for watching your campsite or personal belongings.

Severe weather can sometimes occur. Please be aware of conditions and have a plan in place in the event of severe weather. America’s River Festival is held rain or shine. No refunds.

No pets allowed except service animals.

No firearms, weapons or fireworks.
No glass bottles.
No motorized golf carts, 3 or 4 wheelers, scooters, mopeds, gators, etc.

One vehicle parking pass will be issued for each RV or tent campsite. For additional vehicles, there is a public parking ramp and a grass lot parking lot – both free of charge – near the campground.

Vehicle parking in the RV Camping area is permitted as long as there is room in your allotted space and you are not in any way blocking the road or going past your marker.

Electrical hook-ups are not available on site. If you intend to use a generator, it must have a good muffler system.

Water hook-ups are not available on site.

Dumping Stations are not available on site. The nearest is at Miller Riverview Park for a small fee.

Portable restrooms will be placed throughout the campground.

Garbage cans will be placed throughout the campgrounds. Please use them and/or place your tied garbage bags next to them.

Does my campsite purchase include any festival tickets?

No, festival and the Tappening tickets must be purchased separately from camping.
